WP9 TRAIN

WP Manager(s):
Enrico Guarini (UNIMIB); Greta Facile (DESY), Mykola Lubiv (STCU)

Participants: UNIMIB, DESY, INR NASU, NSC KIPT, STCU

Objectives

The activities in this WP will provide support and training opportunities to scientists, RIs staff and managers from Ukraine.

Based on early explorative contacts we already established with the National Science Center Kharkiv Institute of Physics and Technology (NSC KIPT) and other Ukrainian scientists we highlight that there is a high interest for support and capacity building opportunities in this specific political situation. We will conduct a mapping of the RIs in Ukraine in all scientific domains and we will investigate their status, identify their scientific topics of interest, and we will explore with them the best way to support the professional development and the capacity building of Ukrainian research organizations (link to WP10). The activities programme of tasks 9.1, 9.2, 9.4 will constantly evolve and be adjusted according to their needs.

In this WP we will:

  • Set up and implement a fellowship programme for Ukraine researchers and technicians, task 9.1;
  • Set up and implement a staff and knowledge exchange programme for scientists and technicians from Ukraine, task 9.2;
  • Train researchers and RI managers from Ukraine at EMMRI, task 9.3;
  • Conduct a mapping of the Ukrainian RIs, of their status and of their needs for capacity building, task 9.4;
